Top-notch lighting and the incredible costume designs, paired with some of the greatest talents to hit NYC, have been enough to lead this production to plenty of Tony honors and sold-out shows. Yet, since the story and the look and feel are familiar at this point, the audience isn't as tied to a specific element in production to experience Wicked. This makes it a wonderful choice to see on the road! A perfect example of the opposite is the Tiger animatronic from Life of Pi. That's an amazing production feat, and it looks amazing when it works, but it's a little harder to take that show on the road.
